Construction to Begin on 2 Spring Lake Park Elementary Schools

Work will begin on two Spring Lake Park elementary schools this summer after the school board approved bids for the construction.

According to current data, enrollment will exceed 6,100 students, grades 4-8 at the Westwood Campus will exceed 2,500 students, and Spring Lake Park High School will exceed 2,100 students within eight to 10 years.

Coon Rapids Given $40K Development Grant

Coon Rapids city officials are looking at ways to redevelop the area around the Foley Boulevard Park-and-Ride.

The city was given a $40,000 Livable Communities Transit-Oriented Development grant from the Metropolitan Council for the project. The purpose of the money is to encourage development around light rails, commuter rails, and bus transit station.
